Spring House Innovation Park (SHIP) Mini Plant

In an award-winning central utility plant renovation, Trefz Mechanical modernized this 14-building technology park’s entire mechanical, plumbing and electrical system.

Trefz replaced the inefficient and unreliable 1960s-era CUP. The new installation includes 1,000 tons of chilled water capacity, 20 million BTUs of hot water heating capacity and 1.4 megawatts in electrical distribution, far exceeding code-mandated energy requirements. The new CUP reduces electrical, natural gas and water use by 50% for MRA Group, the campus developers.
